New in the Q10 2.0

Since the 2.0 update, the rear rack is 18 centimeters longer, with side guards that keep children's feet away from the wheel. This means it can accommodate two child seats. The Q10 also received a new display that connects to an app, an integrated frame lock, a reinforced double kickstand that remains stable even when loaded, and a bottle holder in a more convenient position.

Extended frame and step-through access

The longer rear frame is the heart of the Q10. There is room for luggage or a passenger at the back, while you sit upright and comfortably. The low step-through makes getting on and off easy, even with something on the back. The aluminum frame is strong yet manageable. The light Off White finish may require a little more attention to keep clean than a dark color. Also bear in mind that a longer bike needs more space to turn and park than a compact model. In a cramped storage area, that is something to consider in advance.

Carrying luggage and a passenger

With a load capacity of up to 150 kilograms, you can put the Q10 to work. The included cargo basket is handy for items you want to keep within easy reach. Since the 2.0 update, the rear rack is 18 centimeters longer and fitted with side guards, so it can accommodate two child seats: the Q10 is rated for three people. Ideal if you take children to school or often ride with extra cargo. A fully loaded bike is heavier to steer and takes longer to stop, so accelerating gently and braking in good time helps you stay in control. If you mainly carry groceries, you will notice little difference in practice.

Range and battery

The 48V 15Ah battery, together with how you use your bike, determines how far you can go. More cargo and more assistance mean higher consumption, so allow for some margin rather than relying on a single figure. Charging takes about three hours. For daily rides, recharge every few days. Planning a longer ride? Lower the assistance level a little to get more range from a single charge. A day with a lot of cargo simply means charging a little more often.

Motor, speed and the rules

The brushless 250W motor in the rear wheel provides assistance up to 25 km/h. You pedal yourself, there is no throttle, and that is why the Off White Q10 is classified as a regular electric bike. No driving licence, registration or helmet is required. We advise against derestricting it: you will fall outside the legal category, the bike is not designed for it, especially with weight on the rear, and your warranty will be void. With cargo or a passenger on the back, you want a bike that remains predictable.

Tyres, brakes and riding feel

The 20-inch fatbike tyres keep the loaded bike stable on the road. Front and rear suspension dampen vibrations on rougher surfaces. The hydraulic disc brakes provide controlled braking even with weight on the rear. Because of its length and weight, the Q10 is less manoeuvrable than a short fatbike, so steer a little more calmly in busy traffic. You can shift through seven gears. It is best to take it easy on your first rides with luggage.
