The front fork absorbs most of what the road throws back at you: curbs, potholes, loose tiles. With a fatbike, there’s extra weight on top, so the fork takes more of a beating than on a lightweight city bike. This suspension fork from OUXI is designed as a replacement part for OUXI fatbikes and cushions the impacts you would otherwise feel in your wrists and shoulders.

Replacement is necessary if the fork starts leaking oil, gets stuck in the compressed position, or begins to creak. It’s also wise to check after a hard fall, as a bent fork causes unstable steering.
