Keep the speed limiter in place: if you remove it to go faster, it’s no longer a regular e-bike, your warranty becomes void, and you take unnecessary risks.

Battery and range

The 48V 20Ah Samsung battery is designed to achieve a substantial range; under favorable conditions, KNAAP mentions up to about 140 kilometers. Take that as a guideline, not a hard promise, because your weight, the wind, the terrain, and the chosen support level together determine how far you really get. An empty battery roughly takes four to six hours to fully charge again. If you often ride in the highest mode or frequently uphill, expect a shorter range than the maximum.

Tires, brakes, and lighting

The wide tires provide grip and stability, not only on asphalt but also on sand, mud, and unpaved paths. You brake with hydraulic disc brakes that grip firmly with little hand force, even when wet. Front and rear have StVZO-certified LED lighting, so you are visible in the dark without separate lamps. On the handlebar, an LCD display keeps track of your speed, battery level, and support level, and via the USB port, you can charge your phone on the go.
