No license, no registration plate, no helmet required. We advise against tuning it to a higher speed. Then your bike no longer counts as a regular e-bike, with all the safety risks that come with it.

Tires, brakes, and riding feel

The tires roll smoothly and provide grip, wide enough for comfort without making pedaling heavy. In the city and on bike paths, the N1 Air feels stable. You brake with disc brakes, which grip cleanly and predictably, even when wet. The handlebars are wide, making steering relaxed and easy through corners. The motor is quiet; you barely hear it. What you do feel is that a light frame transmits bumps in the road more directly than a heavy, suspension-equipped bike.

Who is this model for

The N1 Air is best for riders who want a light and agile bike. Someone who occasionally lifts the bike, up a step in the doorway, over a threshold, or into the car. It’s a great companion for commuting and city rides. It also works well for longer Sunday tours, as long as you like an upright riding position. Less suitable if you want a sturdy, suspension bike that soaks up every bump. If you want to carry heavy groceries or a child seat, you’re better off with a heavier model.
