The 250-watt mid-motor is positioned low in the frame and pushes you evenly from a standstill, making climbing noticeably easier. You can choose from multiple modes, from Eco for the longest range to Turbo for extra boost, with support up to 25 km/h. Above that speed, the motor disengages and you pedal on your own. There is no throttle, so the Roam counts as a regular electric bike: no license, registration, or helmet required. Gears, brakes, and lighting

You shift with the Shimano Nexus hub with five gears. A nice feature of a hub is that you can shift while stationary, for example at a traffic light. The hydraulic Tektro HD-R280 disc brakes front and rear bring you to a quick and controlled stop, even in the rain. Front and rear lights with K-marking ensure you are well seen in the dark. Altogether, the Roam rides smoothly and predictably, exactly what you want for daily city rides.

The Roam suits those who travel longer distances daily and don’t want to charge often. The large battery and relaxed riding position make it suitable for commuting and weekend rides. If you prefer comfort and convenience over a sporty, aggressive posture, this bike is a good fit. It is less suitable if you want something light and nimble to frequently carry or take on the train, as the suspension and large battery add some weight. That’s the trade-off typical for this type.
