The OUXI Q10 is an electric longtail: a fatbike with an extended rear frame that can carry quite a bit. Think groceries, a bag, or a passenger on the back. For many people, this is a more manageable alternative to a cargo bike, with the support of an electric motor. You sit upright, easily step on, and accelerate smoothly as soon as you start pedaling. Extended frame and step-through

The rear frame of the Q10 is longer than a regular fatbike, and that’s exactly the point. There’s space at the back for luggage or a passenger, while you sit upright and comfortably. The low step-through helps with getting on and off, even if you have something on the back. The aluminum frame keeps the bike strong yet manageable. Keep in mind: a longer bike requires a bit more space to turn and park than a compact model. You’ll notice the difference in a small shed or narrow hallway.

Carrying luggage and passengers

The load capacity is up to 150 kilos, so you can load the Q10 heavily. The bike comes with a cargo basket for items you want to take along quickly, from groceries to a backpack. If you want to carry someone on the back, there’s room for that with the right accessories. Handy for those who drop off children or often go out with extra cargo. Keep in mind that a fully loaded bike steers heavier and coasts longer. Accelerating gently and braking in time becomes more important than on an empty bike.

Range and battery

The Q10 runs on a 48V battery with 15Ah. How far you get depends heavily on how much you carry, your riding style, the wind, and the terrain. With a passenger or a lot of cargo, more energy is used than on a solo ride, so we don’t specify a fixed number of kilometers but a range. Charging takes about three hours. For daily trips to school, work, and shops, you just recharge every few days, depending on how heavily you use it. A day with a lot of cargo simply requires more frequent charging than a quiet day without luggage.

Motor, speed, and regulations

The rear wheel houses a brushless 250W motor that provides smooth assistance up to 25 km per hour. You pedal yourself, and there is no throttle, so the Q10 counts as a regular electric bike. No license, registration, or helmet requirement. This limited, predictable assistance is especially pleasant when carrying a load. We advise against modifying the bike: you fall outside the legal category, the brakes and frame are not designed for it, especially with weight on the back, and your warranty will be voided. With children or cargo on the back, you want a bike that does exactly what you expect.

Tires, brakes, and riding feel

The 20-inch fatbike tires provide grip and stability, which is helpful when you want to keep a loaded bike upright. There is suspension front and rear, which absorbs some of the vibrations on gravel paths or tiles. You brake with hydraulic disc brakes, which handle weight on the back in a controlled way. Shifting is done with seven gears. The riding feel is calm and stable, although the bike is less maneuverable than a short fatbike due to its length and weight. In heavy traffic, you steer more thoughtfully. Take your first rides slowly, especially with a passenger on board, and you’ll quickly get the hang of steering.
