Compact size and seating

The GT16 is kept small, with 16-inch wheels and a short frame. This makes it handy in heavy traffic and easy to store. For trips to work, school, or the store, you just recharge every few days. If you ride longer distances, lower the assistance a bit, and the battery will last further.

Motor, speed, and regulations

The 250W motor supports you up to 25 km per hour. You pedal yourself and there is no throttle, so the GT16 counts as a regular electric bike. No driver's license, registration, or helmet required. There is a walk assist up to 6 km per hour, handy when you walk the bike alongside you. We advise against tuning the bike: you fall outside the legal category, the brakes and frame are not designed for it, and your warranty will be void. This way, the GT16 remains a bike you can simply take without papers or registration.

Tires, brakes, and riding feel

The GT16 rides on 16-inch wheels with 3.0 tires. That is narrower than the 4.0 tires of a large fatbike, making the bike feel more agile and easier to navigate through narrow spots. Yet you maintain grip and stability, partly thanks to the dual suspension system front and rear that absorbs vibrations. Braking is done with hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels, which respond well, even in the rain. You shift with seven Shimano gears. On the color LCD display with NFC, you can see your speed and battery at a glance. Small wheels respond more directly, so it takes a little getting used to.

The GT16 suits those who want a compact, agile bike with a striking appearance, especially for short to medium rides in and around the city. The size makes it convenient to store and carry. It is less suitable for tall riders who need a lot of legroom, or for those who mainly ride long distances and prefer larger wheels that roll more smoothly.
