You charge it simply via the included cable, with the battery on or off the bike. If you often choose the highest support, the battery will logically run out faster.

Motor, gears, and the rules

The 250W motor with 45 Nm torque works together with a torque sensor that measures your pedaling force and adjusts the assistance accordingly. With 5 support levels, you decide how much help you want. The assistance runs up to 25 km/h, you always pedal yourself, and there is no throttle. This makes the Astra a regular electric bike, without a license, registration, or helmet requirement. You shift with the Shimano 8-speed gears. We advise against tuning: the bike then falls outside that category, brakes and frame are not designed for it, and your warranty will be void.
