The Fiido Air is an ultra-light electric city bike weighing less than 14 kilos, mostly made from carbon fiber. Entry and Comfort

The big difference is noticeable when lifting it: at around 13.75 kilos, you can easily pick up the Air, step over it, or bring it inside. You sit a bit sportier than on a classic city bike, with a sporty saddle suited for riders approximately 165 to 205 cm tall. The carbon frame keeps the bike light and stiff, and the handlebars, fork, and seat post are also made of carbon fiber. If you want a low step-through and an upright posture, this is not your bike: the Air deliberately opts for lightness and sportiness over maximum comfort, which you’ll notice in the seating position.

Range and Battery

The 208.8 Wh (36V) battery is deliberately kept small to keep the bike light. This also means your range is more modest than on a heavy city bike with a large battery. How far you get depends on your weight, the wind, and the assistance level you choose, so expect some variation. If you mostly ride on lower assistance and pedal well yourself, you’ll get more out of it. This is perfect for shorter city rides and commuting over manageable distances. If you want to ride long distances every day, be prepared to charge more often.

Motor, Speed, and Regulations

The 250W motor with 20Nm torque and Mivice torque sensor provides light, natural assistance up to 25 km/h, after which you pedal on your own. The torque is lower than on a heavy city bike, fitting the light character and helping you move well on flat terrain. There is no throttle to ride without pedaling, so the Air counts as a regular electric bike: no license, registration, or helmet required. The Gates belt replaces the chain and requires little maintenance. We advise against tuning it up, as that will void your legal category and warranty, and doesn’t fit the design of this bike.

Brakes, lighting, and equipment

Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear bring you to a quick and even stop, even in the rain. The lighting is integrated, so you remain visible in the dark without separate lamps. The KENDA 700x40C tires roll smoothly over asphalt and light gravel paths. A fingerprint sensor unlocks the bike, and the quick-release on the front wheel makes maintenance and transport easy. An IP54 rating means a shower on the road won’t affect the electronics. The equipment is deliberately kept minimal to save weight, so don’t expect a heavy luggage rack or thick fenders.

Who is this e-bike for

The Air suits those who want a light, stylish city bike that you can easily lift and that requires hardly any maintenance. Great if you need to carry it upstairs, have little space, or just want a bike that doesn’t stand out as an e-bike. To be honest: the small battery and lower torque make it less suitable for long daily distances, lots of climbing, or heavy loads. If you’re looking for range and pulling power over low weight, another model suits you better. If it’s about lightness and handy size, the Air is a strong choice.
