Warranty Policy

GoFatbike Warranty Policy

When you buy a fatbike, folding bike, or e-bike from GoFatbike, you want to know what to expect if something goes wrong. Below you’ll find exactly what applies, what is and isn’t covered by the warranty, and how to file a claim.

Article 1: General provisions

These warranty conditions apply to all agreements made between GoFatbike and its customers. "Customer" means any natural or legal person who enters into an agreement with GoFatbike.

Article 2: Warranty period

GoFatbike provides a 12-month warranty on the battery and all moving parts of your purchase. The warranty period starts on the day of receipt. If a part is replaced within the warranty period, the original term remains in effect. No new warranty period starts on the replacement part.

Article 3: Warranty exclusions

Warranty covers manufacturing defects and material faults. What is excluded:

  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches and fall damage
  • Normal wear and tear from use
  • Damage caused by incorrect, negligent, or careless use
  • Bikes that have been tuned above the legally allowed 25 km/h
  • Bikes that have been modified by the customer or an unauthorized third party
  • Parts not supplied by GoFatbike
  • Throttle controls that provide motor assistance above 6 km/h
  • Damage caused by external influences such as fire, water damage, or dirt
  • Defects in the pedal sensor due to insufficient maintenance or external factors
  • Parts that have reached their normal service life

Not sure if your situation is covered by the warranty? Just get in touch. We always take a look.

Article 4: Submitting a warranty claim

Do you have a defect or fault that falls within the warranty period? Then contact us within that period via the service portal at gofatbike.nl. Describe the complaint as clearly as possible and include photos if you can. GoFatbike will assess the request and contact you about the next step: repair, replacement of the part, or another suitable solution.

Article 5: Return shipment under warranty

If a warranty claim is approved and a return shipment is necessary, GoFatbike will reimburse the shipping costs of the returned product. Please send the product back well-packaged to prevent any further damage during transport.

Article 6: Depreciation due to use or damage

If the returned product shows signs of use or damage that are not covered by the warranty, or if the product has been used for a long time, GoFatbike may apply a depreciation. This will never exceed the original purchase price. You will always be informed in advance about any deduction, so you know what to expect before a warranty process takes place.

Return preparation, original packaging and collection

These preparation and cooperation duties apply to every return, including withdrawal, incorrect delivery, transport damage, defects, warranty or conformity claims, and termination of the purchase agreement.

If the e-bike was delivered in a transport box, the complete original box, inserts and all original protective materials must be retained and reused for the return. The e-bike must be repacked in full, 100%, as closely as possible to the way it was received.

Before a collection is scheduled, the customer must provide, on request, clear photos of all sides of the e-bike, the mileage or display, all supplied parts, any damage and the fully closed and protected packaging. Collection is scheduled only after the photos show that the product is complete and safe for transport. A carrier may refuse unpackaged or insufficiently protected goods.

If the original box is missing, the customer must contact us before returning the product. For an ordinary withdrawal, the customer pays for suitable replacement packaging, additional handling and a further collection attempt. For a justified incorrect delivery, transport damage or lack of conformity, we pay the necessary transport and packaging costs; the customer must still make the e-bike accessible and follow reasonable, safe instructions. Documented extra costs caused by a missed appointment, refused access or inadequate preparation may be charged where legally permitted.
